OMEGA GOLD DEVELOPMENT GROUP AND ON TARGET SECURITY AGENCY TEAM UP FOR A HOMEOWNERSHIP INITIATIVE

(Prince George’s County, Maryland) Mortgage foreclosures continue to have a devastating effect on the Country’s neighborhoods and economy. Prince George’s County is no exception. The County has one of the highest rates of foreclosures in the State of Maryland. As part of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, the County has identified twelve (12) areas located near major employers that can prospectively take part in a Workforce Housing Initiative.

 On April 13, 2009 Omega Gold Development Group and On Target Security Agency signed an agreement initiating The Workforce Housing Collaborative. The goal of the Collaborative is to increase the number of qualified homebuyers to purchase homes affordably and responsibly while helping to stabilize neighborhoods severely impacted by foreclosures.

On Target Security Agency has teamed up with Omega Gold Development Group in a unique initiative to provide employer assisted workforce homeownership. They will implement an outreach and education plan that builds awareness and provides educational services designed specifically for On Target Security Agency employees. The Collaborative will provide employees with a minimum of five (5) Real Estate Owned Properties (REO’s), purchased directly from the bank that qualify for down payment and closing cost assistance through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.  This program helps On Target Security Agency to maintain a positive image by stabilizing their surrounding neighborhoods through homeownership while improving employee recruitment and retention.

Omega Gold Development Group over the next 90 days will provide on-site classes to On Target Security Agency employees as well as inviting employees to attend additional workshops at other locations. Employees will have the opportunity to participate in workshops that address financial literacy, homebuyer’s education, home retention and much more. This initiative will create community stakeholders; promote investment, increase property tax revenue and reinforce economic stability.
